The decisions we make in life and business can often stem from a single experience that happened in our past.
Over time, that single experience can turn into what’s called a ‘Generalization’… an example could be ‘’you can’t trust anyone’ or ‘everyone takes advantage of me’.
Generalizations can actually be extremely valuable when used effectively. But they can also be very detrimental to your success and well-being.
Now that you know, whenever you notice yourself (or one of your team) using these generalizations like ‘All, Everyone, No One or Never’, be very curious about what comes out of your mouth next.
It’s likely that whatever the generalization, it’s playing a role in either supporting or sabotaging your success right now.
